Backstrap Reduction:  A process of removing the natural "hump" or curvature of the lower grip/frame of a Glock (Glocks only).  The process involves removing polymer from the backstrap of the frame, and infusing new polymer to reduce the thickness of the backstrap area and giving a more straight finish.  **after backstrap reduction, the factory interchangeable backstraps provided by Glock will no longer be compatible**
